Four teams begin push for end of year silverware
The semi-finals of this year's Manx Car Store Railway Cup competition headline the ties in Isle of Man football this weekend.
Corinthians, Peel, Laxey and Onchan have all qualified for this year's tournament with all vying for a chance to lift the silverware following the final which is currently planned on Boxing Day (26 December).
Defending premier league champions, Peel will host Laxey whilst current top-flight frontrunners, Corinthians - who remain undefeated so far this campaign - travel to Onchan.
Both semi-finals are due to get underway on Saturday (6 December) at 1pm.
On the same day, league fixtures are set to continue across the senior men's leagues with league contests expected to get underway at 2pm.
Among those fixtures, Castletown and Colby will continue their ongoing tussle at the top of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2, still with just two points separating the southern rivals heading into the weekend.
Both leaders, Castletown and second-placed Colby are on the road at Douglas Royal and Douglas & District respectively.
On Sunday (7 December), this season's Canada Life Women's Floodlit Cup continues at The Bowl in Douglas.
Unbeaten cup holders, Peel come up against a Douglas Royal side which is yet to taste defeat in the competition whilst Rushen United face Union Mills with both still searching for their first victory in the Floodlit Cup this season.
