Motorsport returns to the Isle of Man

Pre-TT Classic practice got underway last night

Motorsport made a return to the Isle of Man last night.

The first practice session of the Pre-TT Classic Road Races, on the Billown Circuit, got underway just after 6pm:

​Today will see another afternoon of practice with roads around the southern course closing between 12.30pm and 4pm.

The schedule is due to run as follows:

• Race 1 250cc/350cc Single Cylinder Classic 12:45pm to 12:57pm 
• Race 2 1100cc Open Classic 1:07pm to 1:19pm 
• Race 5 Post Classic Junior Superbikes 1:29pm to 1:41pm 
• Race 4 + 6 250cc Lightweight Classic + 125 Post Classic 2:01pm to 2:13pm 
• Race 9 Post Classic Senior Superbikes 2:23pm to 2:35pm 
• Race 7 350cc Junior Classic 2:45pm to 2:57pm 
• Race 8 500cc Senior Classic 3:07pm to 3:19pm 
• Race 3 & 10 Sidecar Classic 3:29pm to 3:43pm

Roads will open again between 4pm and 5.45pm. 

The evening schedule is due to run as follows: 

• Race 1 SP-R SINGLES RACES 6 Laps 6:15pm 
• Race 2 AD HEWETT DENTAL PRACTICE 1100cc RACE 7 Laps 7pm
• Race 3 3 WHEELING SIDECAR RACE 1 4 Laps 7:50pm 

​Roads should re-open at 8.45pm.
