The current political system on the Isle of Man is a party system, but with no cohesion, according to one MHK.
Most representatives here stand and are elected as independents.
Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher is the leader of the Manx Labour Party, which has two members in this administration.
She says the current system forces parties to form with no common ground:
