Free digital stamp "sends strong message"
Crossroads is inviting people, businesses and organisations across the Isle of Man to become 'Crossroads Champions' and show support for carers.
The charity says the initiative allows people to raise awareness about the support that's available for those who find themselves in a caring role.
It takes under a minute for supporters to sign up and receive a free digital Champion stamp, which they can display on their email signatures, social media pages, websites or internal communications.
The small gesture is intended to send the strong message: ‘I care about carers.’
CEO of Crossroads Jackie Betteridge says: “This is for everyone, not just carers themselves, but anyone who values what carers do.
"Becoming a Crossroads Champion is a low-effort, high-impact way to show your support and help us reach more people across the Island.”
The 2021 Isle of Man census identified over 4,800 unpaid carers; however, the true number is likely to be much higher as many people providing care for loved ones don't identify or register as carers.
