Horse trams mark 150th anniversary in 2026
Timetables have been announced for the Isle of Man’s heritage railways for the 2026 season.
The Manx Electric Railway will return to service on Tuesday the 17th of March, with the steam railway following two days later, on Thursday the 19th.
Both services will run through to Sunday the 1st of November.
Meanwhile, the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, having first opened in August 1876.
There'll be some special events to mark the milestone, with horse trams running again from Thursday the 2nd of April.
